Here are two of my recently finished crochet projects. The top one is a capelet made of Rowan Wool cotton. I based it on a shawl from one of the summer Rowan Classic books. I thought that the shawl would be too much like a blanket, and capelets seemed more stylish to me, so here is my version.
The next one is the scarf from the front cover of Hip to Crochet. The pattern called for mohair, but I used Koigu KPPM, it was great to crochet with. I hated changing colors all the time, but I think it was worth it in the end. Can't wait for the cooler weather to wear this one.

I loved that swirly stuff when I saw it crocheted up in my local John Lewis - well done on the capelet idea - looks wonderful!
Michelle, they both look wonderful!
I particularly love the scarf, I bought (ahem!) a similar one from Accessories before I started crocheting/knitting and then a friend borrowed it, haven't seen it since, but would have loved to try and crochet one myself, I just couldn't remember what it looked like in detail.
Fantastic job you've done there! xx
Wow, that capelet is truly gorgeous. I love the colour, the pattern, and it almost makes me want to learn to crochet! Great work, congratulations.
Love both the scarf and the capelet - you have some inspiring work here!
I love all your finished projects, especially the capelet. You are so talented.
